Nostalgia hit me very hard today
And I longed for the past I have to say,

And back to the past my heart strayed.
The songs made me smile yet I still felt sad
I just really missed the times that I`d had,
I`d turn the clock back in a heartbeat
For my past I`d really love to repeat.
These songs have withstood the test of time
With clear crisp words that often rhyme,
Lots of love songs to make your heart soar
And everyone loved them that`s for sure.
These records filled the air with romance
And your mood they would always enhance,
No one sat still while these records played
And all night in your head these tunes stayed.
There were sad songs too I have to say
When the girl wanted to call it a day,
So there was heartbreak even back then
But the boy would try to win her back again.
I`d love to go back to those carefree days
When things seemed easier in many ways,
There was no hustle or bustle back then
Only a rush to listen to the charts top ten.
